Yes. Luma Aviaries ships nationwide via Delta Cargo. Birds travel in climate-controlled, pressurized cargo holds and are never placed in general luggage. Local pickup is also available in Palm City, Florida. We provide a 72-hour live arrival guarantee on all shipped birds.

What certifications does Luma Aviaries hold?

Luma Aviaries is FWC (Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission) licensed, AFA (American Federation of Aviculture) Certified, and PAN/PIJAC Avian Specialist certified. We operate as a closed aviary in Palm City, Florida.

Are your birds hand-fed and socialized?

Yes. All birds at Luma Aviaries are pulled for handfeeding and socialized extensively before going to their new homes. We raise our birds to be comfortable with human interaction from the earliest stages of development.

How does the deposit and reservation process work?

A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the bird's price is required to reserve a bird. Reservations are only accepted once chicks are confirmed. The remaining balance is due within 7 days of the bird being ready, and buyers have a 14-day window to arrange pickup or shipping after the balance is paid.

What payment methods do you accept?

Luma Aviaries accepts cash, Zelle, Venmo, and credit card payments.

Do your birds come with documentation?

DNA testing and vet health certificates are available upon request for an additional fee.

Do you offer a health guarantee?

Yes. Luma Aviaries offers a 72-hour live arrival guarantee on all shipped birds. We recommend new birds be seen by an avian veterinarian within that window.

What is a Pineapple Green-Cheeked Conure?

A Pineapple is a Green-Cheeked Conure expressing both the Cinnamon and Opaline mutations. The cinnamon mutation warms the body color to a brownish-olive green, while opaline reveals vivid yellow-to-orange coloring on the chest and flanks.

What is a Suncheek Green-Cheeked Conure?

A Suncheek is a Green-Cheeked Conure expressing the Cinnamon, Opaline, and American Dilute mutations together. The dilute softens and pastelizes the overall coloring while the cinnamon and opaline intensify the warm yellow-to-orange tones on the chest and flanks.

What is a Mooncheek Green-Cheeked Conure?

A Mooncheek is a Green-Cheeked Conure expressing four mutations: Cinnamon, Opaline, American Dilute, and Turquoise. The turquoise mutation shifts the base color toward teal-blue, the dilute softens the overall coloring, and the cinnamon and opaline add warm muted tones on the chest and flanks — making it one of the rarest and most visually striking GCC combinations.

What species does Luma Aviaries breed?

Luma Aviaries breeds Green-Cheeked Conures (including Turquoise, Pineapple, Yellow-Sided, Suncheek, and Mooncheek mutations), Indian Ringneck Parakeets, Senegal Parrots, Pacific Parrotlets, White-Bellied Caiques, Half-Moon Conures, and Plum-Headed Parakeets. African Greys are a listed future species.
